As parents, we get it! You need something that doesn’t require micro management, that’s flexible, but most importantly that feels like your kid’s best day ever!

How it Works
It’s super simple: if you see something you like, send us an enquiry and we’ll flick over a quote. Our prices are for 3 hours of playtime (setup and pack down time is separate).
Once all the details are sorted, a 50% deposit locks in your equipment and date, then you don’t have to think about it until the week of your party!
The week of, we’ll check a few finer details to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Our Core Range
Our Core Range of bouncy castles are the most cost-effective, and offer the best flexibility. All designs are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and can be delivered to almost any location. Kids absolutely love them, and they can be self-supervised, so you don’t need to book an Operator!
Our Core+ Range
Our Core+ Range takes things up a notch, with bigger bouncy castles, plus our Bungee Run and Gladiator competitive games! Still suitable for self-supervision and indoor use if you have a big enough space, these castles bring extra wow-factor. Our favourite is the Tractor Combo which can be used with water in the warmer months!
Awesome Extras
Variety = more hours of fun! Our Giant Games make great additions for parties, helping to keep kids entertained for longer, and to offer more spaces for different paces and energy levels. Great for fostering healthy competition amongst mates of all ages. Booked alone, they can be collected from our Warehouse in Centennial Park, but delivery is included when booked with an inflatable.

How much does it cost to hire a bouncy castle in Albany?
Prices start at $330 for 3 hours of fun! Have a look through our website to see the price of each inflatable.
This includes 3 hours of playtime, delivery within 20km of Albany or Mt Barker as well as setup and pack up.
If you need longer, extra hours can be added from $50.
Some locations or setups may require additional equipment or supervision, which we’ll discuss with you before booking.

What’s included in my bouncy castle hire?
For every hire, the following is always included:
- Setup & Pack Up by a trained Operator
- Delivery within 20km of Albany & Mt Barker
- 3 hours of playtime (setup and pack up is separate)
- Pegs to anchor the inflatable into grass
- Hoses to connect a water slide to a nearby tap
For an additional fee, we can also provide:
- An Operator to stay and supervise
- A generator for power
- Sandbag weights to secure the inflatable on a hard surface or indoors

What do I need to prepare before my bouncy castle arrives?
To ensure a seamless setup and pack-down, we kindly ask that the following essentials are organised and ready prior to our arrival:
- Electricity access (or confirmed generator requirements)
- Vehicle and site access permissions
- A designated onsite contact person
- A site layout or map indicating setup locations and power points
- Your supervising volunteer should be present to meet our team and complete their induction.
Our team will arrive on site with enough time to complete the setup before your event begins. However, if there is a delay with access to the site or power, it’s possible we’ll encounter delays.
How many kids can go on the jumping castle?
It varies per castle, but usually 6 kids at a time. You can find this information on each product page under ‘Product Specifications’.
What age can children use a bouncy castle?
Generally, bouncy castles are for ages 3+, but some more challenging inflatables, or items like Bungee Run with a harness, will be suitable for slightly older kids. Each product has a suitable age range in its Product Specifications, but please ask if you aren’t sure.
Can adults go on the bouncy castle?
Asking for a friend, are we? 👀
We love seeing grown ups get involved, but not all bouncy castles are suitable for adults, so make sure you check the product specifications to see if the item you’re interested in can be used by all ages.
And remember, extra care should be taken by adults when bouncing around smaller kids!
If you’re having an adults only party, we recommend items such as the Bucking Bull, obstacle courses, or Sport Inflatables. Reach out if you need help deciding.
Are your bouncy castles insured and regularly inspected?
Yes absolutely. For public events we have a gold standard $20 million public liability, and maintain all of our documentation including inspections. Every bouncy castle will be inspected prior to use when your Operator completes a pre-event safety check.
I have no idea which inflatable to choose, can you help?
Yes, and we LOVE being asked for recommendations – we’re always happy to help. We see the inflatables at all kinds of events, so can make recommendations on what might work for a certain age group, space, or theme.
Do I need to supervise the bouncy castle myself?
You require a Monsterball Operator if:
- You have booked an Obstacle Course, Sumo Suits, or large inflatable.
- You are having the event in a public space, and the event is open to the public.
Otherwise, we can leave supervision with a responsible grown up and give them all the instructions required to keep everyone safe. There will need to be a supervisor with the inflatable at all times; if self-supervising, this will be the volunteer we induct.
What do I need to do if I'm self-supervising?
If you’re supervising your own bouncy castle, we ask that you:
- Meet our Operator when they come to set up
- Listen to their briefing and safety instructions
- Stay with the inflatable for the entire event duration
- Ensure kids are playing safely
We also encourage you to lean on parents to keep an eye on their kids as well.
What happens if it’s supposed to rain for my bouncy castle event?
- Move to a suitable indoor location. We can always look at alternative equipment if needed.
- Reschedule your event time/date.
- Postpone your event; we can keep your full credit for up to 12 months.
Otherwise, we can cancel your event. Just keep in mind that your 50% deposit isn’t refundable, so we always suggest at least postponing so you don’t miss out!
Our castles can handle a bit of drizzle, but heavy downpours aren’t safe, so it’s best to plan ahead. Please also read the next question about the impacts of wind.
What happens if it’s windy for my bouncy castle event?
Wind can pose safety risks at events with inflatables, so this is something we pay close attention to!
Our inflatables are safe to use in (consistent) winds up to 25kph, but depending on the design (eg very tall slides) we may choose to cease use in lower wind speeds, or if gusts are very strong. If winds up to 25kph are predicted, here’s what will happen:
- We may require a safety trained Operator to stay on-site to supervise (additional cost) if the winds are predicted to be very close to the threshold. They can monitor the winds and deflate if required.
- If an Operator isn’t required, we will provide your volunteer with a Wind Meter and usage instructions to ensure everyone is safe.
- We will get in touch to discuss your options: move to an indoor location, postpone, reschedule, or cancel – all free of charge with 48hrs notice.
What type of location is suitable for an inflatable?
- Back yards
- Parks and public spaces (you’ll need permission from the council)
- Driveways
- Community centres
- Sports halls
We can set up inflatables both outdoors and indoors as well. Please get in touch if you have a space in mind, but you’re not sure if it will work!

What is ‘access’ and what do you need to deliver a bouncy castle?
Our inflatables are BIG (about the size of a washing machine) and heavy (up to 250kg), so ideally we’d love to drive our truck to your setup location.
If that’s not possible, we can sometimes transport them using a trolley, but we’ll need to consider gates, pathways and the terrain.
Because inflatables are bulky and heavy, we cannot transport them through a home (to protect your floors and family heirlooms)! Going through a garage is fine, though. We also cannot transport inflatables up steep slopes (without drive in access) or up stairs. We’d need some hulk-like Operators for that!

Do I need power to use a bouncy castle?
Yes, power is required for all items (apart from some Outdoor Lawn Games) at all times to operate our inflatables.
All of our inflatables require at least 1 x 10 amp (standard household) power outlet, however if multiple outlets are required, or if you have a DJ or catering provider also drawing power, it’s worth a conversation with us just to check nothing will trip!
If power access is limited at your site, we can advise on whether a generator would be beneficial. We can either provide one of ours (which would also require an Operator to stay and supervise), or you can hire your own. If you prefer to hire your own, we can advise on the specs required, and don’t forget extra fuel for top ups.
Can we set up on a hard surface (ie not grass)?
Yes, we can safely set up inflatables on bitumen, concrete, or other hard surfaces using sandbag weights for anchorage.
Soft foam mats will be placed at entry and exit points for additional safety.
Please let us know in advance so we can bring the sandbags along.
How much space does a bouncy castle need?
This varies per inflatable, and can range from 3m L x 3m W x 3m H all the way up to 6 or 7 metres and even more! We have inflatables that work in so many different spaces, so please reach out if you need some advice. You can find each inflatables’ size on their product page under Product Specifications.
Do I need to set up the bouncy castle myself?
Definitely not! Safe setup (and pack down) by one of our trained staff is included in your hire, so you can focus on organising the rest of the party.
Can you help me find a suitable venue?
Yes! We’re Albany locals, so can recommend venues that might suit your event. Just get in touch.
Can I hire a bouncy castle to use in a park or public space?
Yes for sure! You will need council permission if you’re setting up in a public space. You can book these spaces with a grounds booking form on the City of Albany’s website.
When booking a public space, the council might want to see our documentation to ensure we’re compliant. If they start asking you about: Public Liability, WorkSafe Documents, Log Books, Annual Inspections, or anything else that sounds completely unfamiliar, get in touch and we can supply these documents!
When booking your space for a bouncy castle, it’s worth asking:
- Will I have power at the setup location?
- Will Monsterball be able to drive their truck to the setup location?
- If not, where can they park while setting up?
- Can Monsterball use pegs in the ground to secure the castle?
How long can I hire the bouncy castle for?
You can hire the bouncy castle for as long as you like, but the minimum hire price is 3 hours. Eg you can hire for 1hr, but would need to pay for 3, so we always recommend an event of at least 3 hours for best value. This is also the perfect amount of time for all the kids to have a go and feel suitably tired!
What are your payment terms?
Super simple: we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking (within 48hrs) and the remainder is due the week before your event.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payment via bank transfer – please reach out if you need our details.
What if I need to change my booking?
No problemo! Just get in touch and let us know what changes are required, we’ll talk you through the next steps.
There are no admin fees attached to changing your plans, but if you switch your equipment or add to your booking then additional fees may apply.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Please reach out to us as early as possible and we will assist you. Changes to your booking need to be made with a minimum of 48 hours before your event date.
Keep in mind that your 50% deposit is non-refundable, but we can keep that credit on file for up to 12 months so it doesn’t go to waste.
Cancellations less than 48hrs before your event cannot be refunded at all.

Yes 100%! We are always super happy to put together recommendations if you’re having a big birthday party and would like to book more than one item. Just get in touch and we can discuss your event details and make some recommendations.
